What kinds of activities does the club do?The club hosts many networking and educational events and provides access to real estate firms and professional associations. These events include Real Estate 101, Meet the Pros, Recent Grads Night, Real Estate Fair, Industry Night, Lunch & Learns, Educational Events, Sponsorship Events and many other activities. Do I have to be a UBC student to be a club member?To have membership in the club, students can either be registered as a UBC student ($10 fee) or be non-UBC students ($15 fee). The annual membership dues can now be paid securely via PayPal. Student Signup Do I have to have real estate experience to be in the club?Many of the students in the club have limited or no real estate experience, while some have experience though summer internships, co-ops and prior to coming to UBC. The club focuses many of its activities on getting people up to speed on the industry, type of jobs available and even the jargon. Do I need to be majoring in real estate as my Bachelor of Commerce option?We recognize students bring a wide range of backgrounds and unique level of experience to the industry, therefore students do not need to major in real estate to join the club. |
